I already told you where the 30k number comes from. He doesn't have a petition himself, he has one that was already created.
Not true. Current CO2 levels are about 385ppm, and 1950s levels were about 315ppm. Thats an 18% increase spread over 50 years, not doubled.

Never said he was, but thats largely irrelevant to the case.
His name never comes up and nobody cares about him, yet he co-won a Nobel Peace prize. I guess that puts the rest of the movement into perspective.
There is far more than satellite data that shows that CO2 doesn't cause global warming. There is literally tons of historical data on the subject, like the medieval warm period. Then there is still the minor problem of showing that the current rise in CO2 is conclusively humanities fault.

Ummm... breathing isn't causing global warming. Maybe it has something to do with the 650 million cars on the road, the millions of cattle who have been proven to effect the climate, and the vast number of factories that release CO2.
Im sorry guys, there isnt a debate about this going on anymore. The scientific community has reached a consensus that global warming is real and that humans play a role. Every bit of data shows that to be true.
The globe is warming faster than any model predicted.

Jesus, AL GORE IS NOT THE SOLE DRIVE BEHIND GLOBAL WARMING!!
His name never comes up in a discussion with an environmental scientist. I know because I've spoken with quite a few of them and listened to lectures from a few more. Nobody cares about him. Just because Gore is a dick doesn't mean global warming isn't real, as all the data suggests.
The only data which said otherwise was the satellite data which showed a cooling trend, it was later revealed that the satellites had programming flaws.

Also, he was a news caster, he read a teleprompter, he had no greater understanding than either you or I.
The 30,000 number comes from the number Coleman claimed signed his petition, he hasn't shown this petition to anyone. There's certainly no way of verifying that the 30,000 signatures would be from scientists and not just regular people.
The amount of CO2 has doubled in the atmosphere in the last 50 years, period. |
