Sooo 620 hp divided by 6.2 litres . . . 80 hp per litre. LOL, nice math chuffwit. And for the record, it officially makes 638 bhp and 605 pound feet of torque. Consider that it does this with respectable fuel economy, reliability, and good street manners. Also, being a large displacement engine, the power is more accessibe. 300 hp occurs at only 3000 rpm. Assuming you mean a non-LS small block, good luck with weight, cylinder head flow, vacuum, fuel efficiency, and smooth idle.

The new ZR1 is heavier than the Z06 but still only weighs 3300 or so pounds. It's funny that you call American cars "lead weights" right after referencing the 3850 pound (unladen!) GT-R. Make that 3550 for the V which is still heavier than the ZR1. You also forget that the GT-R resorts to using a compromising 3.70:1 final gear ratio and obviously false hp figures. Skid pad, slalom, and track numbers will make your comments about the ZR1 look even more idiotic. Do tell, how is the ZR1 unbalanced?

i think you should get your facts straight before you dis a car you obviously no nothing about.forone, with a 0-60 time of 3.4(acheived in first gear)it also has the new Michelin Pilot Sport(which wil keep this cr glued to the ground) so theres no denying that this car is ballanced.and now to to this car being a "pathetic lead weight steel boxes with four wheels". this car is mostly made of aluminum and carbon fiber which makes it extremely light weight.

ahahahaha thats pretty funny for you to say. so if americas performance car industry sucks so much why does the vette (especially the ZR1) RAPE anything under 600 thousand while it is priced at 100g? simple, american muscel mutherfucker

Engine-wise, absolutely it's not that modern? But I've never understood the logic in this thinking. Sure, it's great to have Ferrari pumping out upwards of 120 hp/liter, but if it's not any faster on the track, who cares? While some people are drawn to cars because of engineering marvels, etc, some simply like cars that are quick, responsive, and fun to drive. Where's the harm in that?

When are you going to realize that the American muscle car ended long ago. I'm a fan of all cars, and while many of the American powerplants aren't as reliant on technology, the rest of the car is. Not to mention that this junk heap on wheels is still one of the fastest cars at the 'ring. It's posted a better time than the Carrera GT, and any Ferrari or Lambo that's ever been tested there. Of course, most of these times were obtained from engineers, but they're still the times obtained.

Still makes only 80hp per liter with forced induction. A technological dinosaur. If I want 600hp, I'll build a small block and stuff it in an old body, for less than 30 grand. If I want a REAL car, I'll keep my Porsche.

It was the GT-V spec that ran around the nurburg ring.. and guess what happened. Sorry but the vette makes 600 Ft-lb and weighs less than the GTR. Not to mention the vette losses less power through its drive train.
